A party of engineering students from Huntingdon Regional College visited Mole Solutions at Alconbury Weald as part of their work experience activities. The students were given an overview of what the project involves and the outcomes the company hopes to achieve.

Jake Hays, a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma student said: “The ideas and plans for this project were very simple but effective and really intrigued the whole class. The company was full of lovely people who welcomed us with open arms. It was a really enjoyable trip and I would love to go back there in the near future.”

1-P1010373Mark Young, Engineering Study Programme Leader at HRC, added: “it is an innovative idea and it was really valuable visit for the students and also for us to make links with the company with a view to establishing future work experience and apprenticeship opportuntities.”

Mole Solutions are pleased to assist with the education of young engineers and recently took part with other local technology companies in a High Value Manufacturing workshop run by Cambridge University aimed at defining the syllabus for a £10m extension of Huntingdon Regional College on the Alconbury Weald Campus.
