Mole Solutions are one of 6 competitors selected by RSSB Future Railway to look at ways of achieving ‘Predictable and Optimised braking’ for main line railways. This to overcome the problems associated with degraded braking performance at the Wheel / Rail interface in adverse weather and contamination circumstances. An initial 6 month feasibility study would if successful lead to a longer and more in depth development phase to produce a prototype system.
